Coming together to celebrate God’s Word provides the focal point for everything at Calvary. We have three Sunday services. At 8:00 we offer an abbreviated liturgical service with the celebration of Holy Communion. At 9:00 we offer a liturgical service with our Chancel Choir leading the voices of the assembly. At 10:30, our Praise Band energizes worship throughout the service. At the 9:00 and 10:30 services we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday each month and on alternate third Sundays each month.

The Evangelical Lutheran Book of Worship (ELW) is our main resource as we worship and praise God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. We gather around Word and Sacrament. God’s Word is experienced in readings from the Bible, the preaching of the Word and in the singing of hymns. Our pastors preach messages that connect the Biblical story with our daily lives. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion weekly and the Sacrament of Holy Baptism regularly throughout the year.

We believe that our worship is enhanced and made richer by observing the changing seasons of our beautiful church year. We have weekday services during Advent and Lent. Christmas, Holy Week and Easter provide additional opportunities to worship together.

Calvary offers two wonderful, special services. First, Rejoicing Spirits. Our goal at this service is to reach out and encourage people with developmental disabilities to become part of our faith community. These services are held on the third Sunday of each month at 4:00 p.m.

Also, we offer Jazz Vespers several times a year. Jim Sullivan conducts an incredible group of talented musicians who lead the congregation to worship God through the language of jazz music. Check our calendar for dates.

We have an active, welcoming congregation on mission to the world, sent by our God who came to us in his only begotten Son to live, to die and be raised again so that we might be reconciled to him. Please join us as we Give Glory to God and share Christ’s Love.

Christ the King Lutheran Church, a congregation serving the deaf population, also meets at Calvary Lutheran. Please check their web site for times and information.

For families with babies and young children, Calvary provides a fully staffed nursery where the children are cared for during the service.
